Open Data Day is an annual celebration of open data all over the world. For the third time, we will be hosting an open data day event focusing on open mapping. We will share what open and FAIR data is, what initiatives and platforms exist, and how we can use open data to solve our day-to-day challenges. We will also showcase how various organizations in Kenya use open datasets and contribute to open data initiatives.
The Open Data Day Nairobi is open for open geospatial data enthusiasts, OpenStreetMap contributors, users, and developers. This includes students, professionals, and anyone interested in learning about open mapping.
In support of this year's International Women's Day theme, we #ChooseToChallenge, the gender divide in STEM. Therefore, we intend to have equal participation of both speakers, facilitators, and attendees.
